How does Aaina Dekho's virtual try-on work?

You upload one clear photo of yourself — full-body or portrait, straight from your phone. Aaina Dekho builds a photorealistic model of you from it, which usually takes under a minute. You then browse the wardrobe of Pakistani outfits, or upload a photo of any outfit you like, and see it on your own model. You can swap outfits freely and view the result in six poses.

Does it work with a dupatta or hijab?

Yes. Aaina Dekho was built for Pakistani clothes rather than adapted from a Western try-on model. A dupatta falls over the shoulder with real weight instead of being flattened onto the kameez, a hijab or head covering is preserved rather than removed, and your complexion is kept exactly as it is in your photo.

Do I need to sign up or download an app?

No. Aaina Dekho's try-on needs no account, no sign-up and no app download. It runs in any phone, tablet or laptop browser. You upload a photo and start trying on outfits immediately.

What happens to my photo? Is it stored?

Your photo is never written to Aaina Dekho's servers. Your browser resizes and compresses the image on your own device, then sends it over an encrypted connection for processing; it exists only for the duration of that request and is not saved to any database or file store. The only lasting copy lives in your own browser's local storage on your own device, which is what lets you return without uploading again. You can clear it inside the app or by clearing site data at any time. Your photo is never sold, never published, never shared with other users, and never used to train a model.

What kind of outfits can I try on?

Any Pakistani or South Asian style — everyday lawn suits, kurtas and kurtis, formal anarkalis, mehndi and baraat outfits, shararas and bridal lehengas. You can browse Aaina Dekho's curated wardrobe, which links back to the brand selling each piece, or upload a photo of any outfit you have found elsewhere, including a screenshot from a brand's product page.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, well-lit full-body or portrait photo where you are facing the camera gives the best result. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all work, including HEIC files straight from an iPhone. Avoid heavily filtered photos, very dark images, and group shots where it is unclear who the subject is.

Is Aaina Dekho free?

Yes. The try-on is completely free during beta — no subscription, no credit card and no account. You will be given notice before that changes.
